Julie Miyamoto is a pessimistic writer of haphazard discipline who also happens to have a rather piecemeal study of illustrative design and a perfectionistic tendency to regularly revise or entirely throw out sub-par past work. Her goal with the comic SGP Presents is to inevitably chronicle what scattered stories exist of her characters in an autobiographical form, and any and all events within the comic contribute directly to the established history, including unauthorized appearances of characters of alternate origin. In this, Julie means no disrespect or infringement--this usage merely reflects the foundation from which the SGP characters as they currently exist developed.

Julie was born in Farmington, Connecticut, remaining there for a mere month before moving to Johnson City, Tennessee, where she and her younger brother Scott were raised indulgently and pretty much allowed to do whatever, with the result of Julie having no particular decision about what to do in life, no far-reaching goals beyond enjoying the world. [As contrast, Scott eventually joined the Air Force and was stationed in Afghanistan for two years, currently in Kabul.]
Meanwhile, she attended North Side Elementary School until fifth grade, spent a miserable year at Liberty Bell Middle School, drifted through six years at the private-in-size University High School [now K-12 and renamed simply University School], bobbed in and out of five long years at East Tennessee State University--wasting one year majoring in Computer Science only to float into 3D Animation [Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology, Concentration: Engineering Design Graphics, Second Concentration: Computer Animation]--and finally utilizing this college degree to its fullest extent on an entry-level position with Target Corporation.
In addition, Julie spent a whopping month during college intercession doing boring menial labour for Southeastern Apparel Finishing, which nevertheless failed to instill in her a fear of such dead-end work, then spent a whopping some-odd weeks post-graduation occasionally managing to scrape together contract work for Simutronics Corporation, to the end result of her abhorration at the idea of creating artwork as a career--particularly as an independent contractor. The latter alone is enough to make her mundane job in retail seem heavenly by comparison... which it is, as it's both steady and simple.
Julie is currently living with Charles "Kiken" Mugg in Germantown, Maryland. Both share varied interests, including shmups, Dance Dance Revolution, Eddie Izzard, Harry Potter, Last Exile, 24, movies, and generally having fun, with a passive interest in anthropomorphics. Julie retains an individual interest in Neopets on a casual basis, with twelve virtual pets, as well as two babies, Sam and Max.
